The hub of the community

Meeting the current and future needs of a small coastal community requires careful planning for facilities and services.

Storybox was recently engaged by Rio Tinto to prepare a preliminary analysis of potential operating models for a proposed multi-purpose Community Hub in Dampier, Western Australia.

Liz Storr, Principal of Storybox Consulting, has many years of experience in the feasibility assessment, management and operation of community centres in regional communities. Drawing on this knowledge, a program of engagement and assessment was implemented.

Multiple stakeholders including local government and potential user groups were consulted to identify and understand their capacity to be involved in the future management and operation of the Hub.
